I hope you’re staying safe and following the corona protocols. Staying at home starts to get boring after awhile so I’m here to tell you how to beat the boredom.
First, I’ve been making cards using the Lily Impressions DSP from Sale A Bration. I absolutely love this paper and I’ve posted card samples in my gallery/creative projects. Second, I’ve been working out on my treadmill just about every day now that all my meetings and other commitments have been canceled. I’ve been shooting for 10,000 steps a day, but I have to brag that I’ve been over 15,000 steps now a bunch of times as we’ve been walking the golf course outside to get some fresh air. Yay!
Third, I have started a YouTube channel and have been making How To videos. My third video just went live a few minutes ago and I’m still shaking my head. This is not something I ever imagined I would be doing, but alas, I’ve done 3 and will continue to do more. In addition to being a paper crafter and writer, I love to bake and make things at home. My videos aren’t your average garden variety recipe. I started out with How to make Kombucha for beginners, and then did one on How to make no-bake 6 ingredient brownie bites that are super healthy for you. The latest one is How to make chocolate chip coconut macaroons, just in time for those of you who celebrate Passover. This last recipe is from my cookbook, “Behind Every Great Recipe-From Latkes to Vodkas & Beets to Meats.”
You can find all my How to videos and info on my books here on my website. Now that I’m learning how to make videos, I will have a lot more coming in the weeks ahead so please stay tuned and subscribe to my channel. Thank you to Serena, my director and editor!
Today I am happy to report that I was able to get some writing done on my sequel to “Orange Glow Stampers.” I continue to move along and want to make the book interesting for my readers. I’ve already got over a dozen projects!
My advice for those of you who are not enjoying being sequestered: Get Creative! Try baking, cooking, crafting, or even making a funny video. Get outside and breathe in the air, walk around the block and get some exercise.
We will all come out of this on the other side and this time next year, we’ll all be saying, corona? What’s that? beer? Stay safe and don’t forget to watch and share my videos. Thank you so much!
