Years ago when I started stamping, these things called ‘kits’ were nowhere to be seen. Fast forward ten years, and kits are all the rage, from monthly paper pumpkin surprise kits, to kits in the annual catalog. I love kits. Everything you need is included plus instructions, and oftentimes you can google the kit and find a video or two.
Here are three reasons kits are key. First, you don’t need to spend hours coming up with card ideas-just sit down in your stamping studio and open the package. If you’re feeling crazed or stressed, this is a huge stress reliever. No pressure, just easy and fun. Second, the project usually takes no more than an hour or two. Third, there are always leftover pieces which you can use to make another dozen or so cards, depending on the kit. This gives you an opportunity to use some of the stamps that weren’t used. Oftentimes, you will simply stamp sentiments on a label and that’s it.
I had a blast making cards from some new kits, Simply Citrus on page 7 of the Annual Catalog, and Gorgeous Posies on page 8. I encourage you to check out these galleries for some inspiration. https://www.rhondakamoroso.com/ogs-projects/ and https://www.rhondakamoroso.com/ogs-projects/
If you want to try a kit, I urge you to subscribe to paper pumpkin and see how you fare. I’ve been a pumpkin subscriber since they were first introduced over five years ago and I haven’t missed a beat. The kits are fun, easy, and affordable. So, what are you waiting for? Try a kit today and I guarantee you’ll be pleased!
